California first lady Maria Shriver will lead 4,000 participants in the Alzheimer's Association's 2009 Los Angeles Memory Walk on Sunday morning, bringing traffic impacts for those needing to get into or out of Downtown.
The 5k walk gets underway at 9am, starting at California Plaza on Grand Avenue...The route heads north to 2nd, west to Flower, south to 6th, east to Hope and south to 9th before returning the same way.
LADOT has not published a street closure plan, but most impacts along the route would likely be cleared by 10:30am...Those wishing to get across the Financial district earlier should use the 2nd street tunnel or Olympic Boulevard.
